She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Thomae and Agnes Thomae; and her brother Dr. Daniel Thomae. She is survived by: her husband Dr. William Schuster (Bill); her children, Dr. Laurie Muller (Jay Muller), Julie Maslowski (Michael Maslowski), Dr. Susan Klobucarich (Steven Klobucarich) and John Schuster (Annie Schuster); her grandchildren, Gabrielle Muller-Goksal (Can), Andrew Muller (Tera), Mia Maslowski, Max Maslowski, Zachary Klobucarich, Cade Klobucarich, Mason Schuster and Colton Schuster; her sisters, Lois Talebi, Mary Lumpkin (Tony) and Janet Smith; and her friend Paula Qualley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fox Valley Memory Project, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, to support its mission of assisting individuals living with dementia, maintain their dignity, purpose and joy, as well as provide support for their loved ones and care partners.
