He was predeceased by: his father Wally Schmidt; his grandparents, Roman, Loretta Schaller and Norma Schmidt; and his close friend Rufus.
He is survived by: his mother Julie Schmidt (Schaller); his daughter Amanda; and his granddaughter Lily. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
