She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Gerou and Mary Gerou (Corrigan); her in-laws, Loyal and Adeline Berg; her sister Cindi Mischnick; her brother-in-law Jim Berg; and her nephew Cory Gerou.

She is survived by: her husband Loyal Berg; her daughters, Kristen Footit (Matt) and Keri Hammen (Jason); her grandchildren, Carter Footit (Lilli), Megan Footit (Drew Ashley), Kennedy Footit (Braden Jiricka), Caden Hammen, Hailey Hammen (Nathan Antti) and Gavin Hammen; her brother Christopher Gerou (Jodi); her in-laws, John Berg (Patty), Joan Ulrich (Mike) and Ann Stoy (Mike); and her close friends, Nancy Kubasta and Betty Dorow.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Cheri's name.
