She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Wikelund and Margaret Wikelund (Atwell); her husband Roy Smits; her son Jeremy Houk; her grandson Garrett Guthery Shaw; and her sisters, Norma Cook and Jill Marshall.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberla K. Guthery Senski (Paul), Gay Shelton (David) and Kristin Mahoney (Tim); her grandchildren, Jessica Abernathy (Shannon), Derek Kraemer, Taylor Kraemer, Madeline Mahoney, Jack Mahoney and William Mahoney; and her daughter-in-law Heidi Houk. She is also survived by two nieces and two nephews.
