He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Warnke and Herta Warnke (Schuetz); his daughters, Marion Massey (Chris) and Monica Schmalz (Richard); and his wife Margot Warnke.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Michelle Rucinski (Grant), Amanda Massey, Tony Massey (Alexandria), Allison Adkins, Brittany Schmalz and Alec Schmalz.
