He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wuest and Lucile Wuest (Futta); his parents-in-law, Robert and Verona Wohlt; and his brother-in-law Charlie Hoffman.

He is survived by: his spouse Sherred "Sherri" (Wohlt); his son Scott Wuest (Michele); his granddaughter Gina Munig (Jay); his son Gus Wuest (Melissa); his grandchildren, Emily Hautala (Casey), Hannah Walotka (Kurt), Natalie Wuest (Nathan Lovell), Grace, Garret Munig, Gary and Marie Wuest; his great grandchild Da'myah Hautala; his siblings, Gregory Wuest, Kay Wuest and Annette "Dolly" Hoffman; and his caregiver Heather Klauer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
