He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Backus and June Backus (Eslinger); and his son Brandon Backus. He is survived by: his sons, Ryan Backus (Christine) and Shawn Backus; his granddaughters, Natalie Backus and Sydney Backus; and his brothers, Mark Backus (Mary), Paul Backus (Ann) and James Backus.
