Haru Ware Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 21, 2020, at the age of 83, Haru Ware (Oshkosh, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She worked as a housekeeper for the surgical floor at the old Mercy Hospital; later she was honored by Mercy for starting "Save the Cans" to raise funds for the Foundation.

“We are deeply sorry to hear about Haru san's passing. ...We are two of the Japanese aviation fans who stayed at Haru san's place 32 years ago, back in 1988, to enjoy Haru san's great hospitality. We cannot forget her charming and comforting smiles and wonderful meals, especially her incredible BBQ ribs. We have never BBQed without remembering her since then, for more than three decades. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.”
