She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Lux and Mary Lux (Mathe); her husband Bob; her siblings, John, Raymond (Yvonne), Victor (Virginia), Joseph (Jacqueline), Jerome (Lorraine), William (Shirley), Robert (Delores), Eleanor Rasmussen (Kenneth), Rosemary Krause (Clarence) and Dolores Helmuth (Kenneth); her great grandchild Byrnlee Hope Getchel; Virginia Hansen (Chester) and Howard Getchel (Lucy).
She is survived by: her children, Rev. Richard Getchel of De Pere, WI, Diane, Bill Cassels of Newnan, GA, Paul and Sherri Getchel of Omro, WI; her grandchildren, Amie and Aaron Miller of Omro, WI; her children, Brian, Jennifer Getchel of Hudsonville, MI, Leslie and Brett Wendt of Newnan, GA; and her great grandchildren, Amelia Miller, Jamison Getchel, Logan Wendt and Carter Wendt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent Catholic Church (1225 Oregon St, Oshkosh, WI 54902). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Helen's name. She especially wanted donations to support St. Jude Parish (St. Vincent de Paul Church) or to Father Carr's Place 2B.
