She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Senner and Cecelia Senner; her husband Scott Totsky; and her sister Janet. She is survived by: her children, Christopher and Kimberly Karlgaard (Travis); her grandsons, Scott and Daniel Totsky; and her siblings, Carol Birkeland (Ken), Paul and Frank Senner. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Because of this, the family would ask that any donations be directed to the Mayo Clinic to support cancer research, in lieu of sending flowers.
