He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Cahill; his son-in-law Ron Hale; and his grandson Christopher Cahill. He is survived by: his children, Patti Cahill, Kelley Hale, Kevin Cahill, Brian Cahill (Apryl) of Flower Mound, TX and Mike Cahill (Jackie); his grandchildren, Jason Stieg, Justin Stieg, Austin Swan, Stephanie Cahill, Jeremy Cahill, Marshall Cahill, Brady Cahill and Abigail Cahill; his great grandchildren, Jackson Stieg, Kai Cahill and Zane Stieg; and his brother Harold Pagel of Land O' Lakes, WI. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, and two brothers-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
