He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hitz and Mildred Hitz (Klabunde). He is survived by: his wife Betty Hitz; his children, Jane Wilson (Brian), Susan Kleinschmidt (Russell) and Jeffrey Hitz (Julie); his grandchildren, Eileen Cimermancic (Todd), Audrey Thom, Molly Keller (Justice) and Ashley Hitz (Tyler Rumlow); his siblings, Phillip Hitz (Linda) and Nadine Hitz-Wiley (Terry); and his cousins, Raymond Hitz, Richard Hitz and John Bellin. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
