He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth O'Keane (Reis) and James J. O'Keane of Colgate, WI.; and his sister Kathleen Zechmeister. He is survived by: his wife Carol (Rasmussen); his children, James R. (Kirsten) and Jennifer (Joe); his granddaughters, Josie and Katie; and his brother Robert J. O'Keane (Susan). He is also survived by relatives and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish (435 High Ave, Oshkosh, WI 54901). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Plummer Cemetery (4723 County Rd S, Oshkosh, WI 54904).
Donations: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin – Fox Valley, reflecting James's lifelong commitment to the well-being of children.
