She was predeceased by : her parents, John Judkins and Pauline Cummins Judkins; her sister Anne Judkins Martz; her husband Robert Sample; and her son William Sample (Atsuko Sample).

She is survived by : her brother David Judkins; her daughter Susan Sample (Linnie Shipman); her grandchildren, Stephanie Begley Miller (Kevin Miller), Aaron Begley, Melanie Begley, Monica Begley, Sophia Sample and Nikolas Sample; her great grandchildren, Adrian Miller, Bode Miller and Callum Miller; and her close friend Sheryl Myers.

Memorial contributions may be made to Planned Parenthood or the Salvation Arm.
