He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry J. Walter and Ruth C. Walter (Schertz); his brother David Kiesow (Judy); his brothers-in-law, David Horejs and Steven Schink; his brother Gary Walter; and his daughter-in-law Jessica Walter.

He is survived by: his children, Jeremy Walter of Oshkosh, Jarmen Walter (Tracy) of Oshkosh and Janyne Erickson (Matthew) of Oshkosh; his siblings, Harry Walter of Madison, Carol Horejs of Oshkosh, Mary Tyler (John) of Oshkosh, Beverly Schink of Kaukauna and Cathy Hinze (Chuck) of Watertown; his grandchildren, Alexis Vogelin, Logan Walter, Nolan Walter, Avah Walter, Jackson Walter, Jarmen Walter, Gabriel Walter, Lucas Erickson and Natalee Erickson; and his great grandchild Briggs Walter. He is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
