He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Oppermann and Carol Smidl (Hinz). He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Meyers, Zach Sitter, Leah Waters and Tyler Deiss; his grandchildren, Carter, Manny, Zamora and Lilah; his siblings, Scott Oppermann (Kerry) and Michele Laabs (David); and his close friend Michelle Smits.
