With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Jay Sauer of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 27, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Jeanne Sauer (Deloris). He is survived by: his wife Nadine Rood Sauer; his children, Randall Sauer (Elizabeth) of St Louis, Susan Montano (Marc) of Oshkosh and Timothy Sauer (Kerry) of Oshkosh; his grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob Sauer, Matthew, Daniel Montano, Reese and Remy Gardiner; and his siblings, Steve Sauer (Alice) of Prescott, AZ and Gayle Richardson of Sarasota, FL..
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to an organization that supports some of John's favorite activities and interests: Coach Sauer Foundation (In honor of his cousin Jeff Sauer - funding disabled and sled hockey for the state of WI, and grants promoting hockey as a new experience).
