She was predeceased by: her parents, Alois Horejs and Elizabeth Horejs (Stadler); her daughter Joan Clarke (Pete); and her siblings, George (Dorothy), Robert (Lois), Roger (Mary), David Horejs (Carol), Florence Toshner (Harold), Lorraine Schneider (Norman) and Elizabeth Hasse (Robert).
She is survived by: her husband Neil Franklin Abitz; her children, Gail Beck (late Henry), Menominee Falls, Eileen McCarty, Paul Abitz (Doreen), Larry Abitz, Fox Crossing and Jerry Abitz; her grandchildren, Amanda, Erin Beck, Krystal, Brandi, Brad McCarty, Paul Berger and Zachary Clarke; her sister Jean Maurtiz (William); and her sister-in-law Carol Horejs. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S Westhaven Dr, Oshkosh, WI 54904). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
