He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Peter and Eugenie M. Oehmen (Weinberger); and his sister-in-law Theresa Oehmen. He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Nylen (Marc) and Heidi Tess (Mike); his grandchildren, David, Daniel, Olivia Nylen (Nick Kouvelis), Isaac, Adam, Ann, Emily Tess and Makenzie Boening; his great grandchildren, Hudson Joseph Nylen and Hadley Grace Nylen; and his siblings, Howard Oehmen (Valerie), Rita Zimmel (Robert), Russell W. Oehmen, Bernadette Herman (Thomas), Gerald Oehmen (Ann) and Robert Oehmen (Sandie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

“Dear, Amy, Marc, Heidi, David, Dan, and Olivia, And family, It is with great sorrow to hear of Pete's passing. I really got to love that man during the years of bringing him weekly Communion at Evergreen, and weekly Mass at St, Mary's. He exhibited great Faith, courage, strength, and love. I sure he went right to work fixing all the projects needed fixing in Heaven. And if it's possible, driving his Corvette on Heavenly highways. I consider him a friend in Heaven now.”
