He is survived by: his wife Joyce Wiles; his sister Margaret Wilson; his children, Ronald Wiles (Donna), Richard Wiles, Lori McDowell (David Sr.) and William Wiles; and his grandchildren, David McDowell Jr. (Noel), Jason McDowell, Chelcie McDowell, Rhiannan Wiles and Savannah Wiles (Austin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
