He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Marhefke and Gerturde Marhefke (Gronowski); his parents-in-law, Joseph and Marge Staudenraus; his brothers-in-law, Philip Staudenraus and David Staudenraus; and his siblings, Raymond (Violet), Regina Knoblock (Rich), Clifford, Ralph, Helen Bahr (Harold), Bernard (Tess), Gertrude Jensen (Ted), Mary Ann Huebner (Harold) and Joan Wendt (Daryl).
He is survived by: his sister Elenore Francis; his wife Mary Staudenraus; his children, Cherie Giesfeldt (John), Michael (Carrie), Lynne Fenrich (Gary), Doug (Tracy) and Katherine; his grandchildren, Hayley (Max), Josh (Morgan), Lauren (Matt), Emma, Matthew, Nathan and Anna; and his great grandchildren, Will, Harrison, Alaina and Connell.
