Theodore R. Bowen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2025, at the age of 80, Theodore R. Bowen (Oshkosh, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Bowen and Lorraine Bowen (Sheets); his uncle John; his aunt May Ziebell; his parents-in-law, Robert and Mary Mueller; his brothers-in-law, John Schellpfeffer, Jim Mueller and Bruce Jovaag; and his pets, Sarah, Moses, Honey and Scuppers.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Bowen (Mueller); his children, Ed Bowen (Kari) and Ann Potratz (Michael); his grandchildren, Elsie, Lillian, Theodore Bowen and Emily Potratz; his sisters, Margaret Schellpfeffer and Cynthia Lemke (William); his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Klem and Chris Maki (Rick); and his siblings' children, Brendan Schellpfeffer, Kaity Olsen (Andy), Matt Lemke (Kris), Carrie Chappa (Brian), Amelia Osterud (DannO), Dylan Mueller (Michelle), Beth Mueller and Jennifer Mueller.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the The Waters (1393 Washington Ave, Oshkosh, WI 54901).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bowen Family Fund, care of the Oshkosh Community Foundation, to continue Ted's legacy of supporting the community he loved. Contributions may also be directed to the Oshkosh Humane Society, honoring Ted's late-in-life devotion to dogs.
