With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Lager (Oshkosh, Wisconsin), born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 21, 2020 at the age of 73. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wayne Lager to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rollin Lager and Eleanor Gray Lager; his brothers, David (Linda), Glenn and Verne; and his nephew Thad Lager (Kerry).

He is survived by: his wife Dale Jean; his sister-in-law Linda Lager of Markesan; his siblings, Jim (Barbara) of Atlanta, Ellen Kolaks (Lon) of Fenton, MO, Arvid (Karen Evenson) of Mount Pleasant, WI and Vicky Kolaks (Gary) of St. Louis, MO; and his parents-in-law, Linda Kroll (Jeff) of Van Dyne, Barbara Hartl of Fond, Lac, Jackie Campos (Augustus) of Rialto, CA and Tracy Pruett of California. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

The Unger Family lit a candle

“We are deeply saddened and heart broken. We have so many fond memories with Wayne. He would allow us to stay in his home during the air show. We would try to replenish anything we used. One year Rob went to the store. He came back with a few items including a motion sensored barking dog. He placed it on the kitchen table so that when Wayne would walk through the door it would start barking at him. I could only imagine how startled he was. He payed us back the next year by doing to same to us. ❤”
