She was predeceased by: her parents, Dency Dewey Hazlett and Pearl Virgie Stewart Hazlett; her husband John Henry Carroll; and her siblings, Elmer Black, Shirley Wheeler, Naomi Hall, Harold Hazlett and Arnold Hazlett.
She is survived by: her daughter Dr. Anita Sue Pauley (Larry) of Lake Wylie, SC; her granddaughters, Stefanie Shealey (Burney) of Landrum, SC and Laura Lockey (Bill) of Lake Wylie, SC; her great grandchildren, Cooper Shealey, Will Lockey and Juliet Lockey; her siblings, Martha Roberts, Gloria McKenzie, Maxine Richmond of Prichard, WV, Maxey Hazlett of Birmingham, AL and Sharon Williams (Donald) of Paintsville, KY; and also Bootie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
