He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnett Barbour and Ethel Barbour; his wife Sandra Kaye Ellis; his brother Alfred Barbour; and his brother-in-law Charles David Ellis.

He is survived by: his son Daniel Barbour (Autumn) of Sneads Ferry, NC; his sister-in-law Linda Louise Ellis; his grandson Jackson Bishop; his nieces and nephews, Chris Ellis (Lisa May), Jennifer Busson (Shawn) and Julie Ellis; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lauren, Matthew Ellis, Connor and Reilley Busson.
