He was predeceased by: his son Frederick "Fred" Painter, Jr.; and his stepson Justin LonCavish. He is survived by: his wife Sherry; his son Rick; his grandchildren, Kaitlin, Nick and Brooke; his brother Jim; his nieces, Emily, Katie, Shannon, Savannah and Shaunnah; and his brother-in-law Keith Rood. He is also survived by one great nephew and two great nieces.
