He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Cowden Hanshaw. He is survived by: his stepmother Margaret D. Hanshaw; his children, Frank E. "Trey" Hanshaw III (Sherry) of Huntington and Dr. Helen M. "Meg" Hanshaw of Asheville, NC; his grandchildren, Amy, Lauren, Ashley Hanshaw, Meredith and Michael Matsakis; his great grandchild Evelynn "Evie" Hanshaw; and his siblings, Margot Pliml of Williamsfield, OH, Tom of Huntington and Charles Hanshaw of Huntington.
