He was predeceased by : his parents, Eris Ransom Fry and Norma Porter Fry. He is survived by : his siblings, Ronald Fry (Brenda) of Lavalette, WV and Deborah Lucas of Huntington; his nieces and nephews, Justin Lucas (Angela), Kim Kennedy (Mickey), David Fry (Debbie) and Tricia Preece (Craig); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Megan Lucas, Philip (Kristen), Sarah, Ellie, Kate, Luke Kennedy, Blake Fry, Taylor Fry, Haley Dugan (Tyler), Megan Middleton (Austin), CJ Preece and Cortney Douglas (Hunter); his pet Nugget; his friend Rick Starkey; his sons, Ray Crowder and Steve Hufstetler; and his close friend Craig Johnson.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Reger Funeral Home (1242 Adams Ave, Huntington, WV 25704). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
