She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Jeffery and Edward Jeffery; and her son Jeffery "Scott" Childress. She is survived by: her fiancé Charles McCoy; her daughter Nicole Childress; her sister Heather Wood (Clarence); her niece Shannon Wood Modlin; her nephew Nathan Wood; her great-nephews, Harrison Modlin and Ansel Wood; and her great-niece Lyra Wood.
A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Hurricane (2635 Main St, Hurricane, WV 25526).
