As Irvin Mykel departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Irvin Mykel. Though Irvin Mykel may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Watts and Carrie Watts. He is survived by: his wife Karen Hartlage Watts of Lavallette, WV; his daughters, Ellen Marie Boyles (Andrew) of Ashland, KY and Molly Lynn Kruel (Shaine) of Barboursville, WV; his sisters, Patti Morgan (Mitch) of Parkersburg, WV, Rebecca Lynn Capps of Mayflower, AK and Diana Bennett (Larry) of Houston, TX; his brother-in-law Steve Hartlage (Donna) of Portsmouth, OH; and his grandson Harvey Laine Kruel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and a special life-long friend.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Henson and Kitchen Mortuary and Cremation Services (1592 E Pea Ridge Rd, Huntington, WV 25705). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Henson and Kitchen Mortuary and Cremation Services (6357 E Pea Ridge Rd, Huntington, WV 25705).
