She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Pinson and Dorothy Pinson; and her husband Joe Sortet of Parkinson's Disease. She is survived by : her children, Richard Todd Sortet (Phoebe) of Rock Hill, S. C. and Jill Sortet Adkins (Ronald) of Huntington; her grandchildren, Sam Adkins (Natalie Saber), Garrett Adkins (Nichole Westfall) of Huntington, Kate Sortet of Spartanburg, S. C. and Erica Sortet (Nathan McIntyre) of Charlotte, N. C.; and her brother-in-law Randy Sortet (Brenda Warren) of Huntington.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Beard Mortuary (3001 3rd Ave, Huntington, WV 25702). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
