He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Ramey and Ethel McSweeney Brammer; and his brother Tim Ramey. He is survived by: his wife Elma Anita Blevins Ramey of Barboursville, WV; his children, Kasina Gregory, Michael Ramey, Jr. and Timmy Ramey (Frankie); his stepchildren, Scottie Vaughan and Andrea Ostaszewski; his sister-in-law Teonia Ramey; and his sibling's children, Chanda Ramey and Andy Ramey. He is also survived by several grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
