She was predeceased by: her significant other Rodney Dwight Lewis; her parents, Cleo Perdue Mayo and Othel Franklin Mayo (Taft); her siblings, George O. Mayo (Doodle), Jerry Roger Mayo and Polly Jane Smith; and her sister-in-law Gladys Mayo.

She is survived by: her children, Michael (Cathy Lewis), Mark (Shawna Lewis) and Monica (Andy Smith); her grandchildren, Ben Lewis (Alex Lewis), Kaden (Ciara Lewis), Braelee (Branty Wilson) and Amelie Pinkernell (Maximilian Pinkernell); her great grandchildren, Riley, Lainey Lewis and Georgia Wilson; her sister-in-law Billie Cassel; and her close friends, Flora Crum Carter, Gwen Byard and Sharon Fitzpatrick. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her church family.
