He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Baumgardner Sr. and Lucy Dunkle Baumgardner; his grandson Luke Simon; and his brother Willard Baumgardner. He is survived by: his wife Nathalena "Nat" Salmons Baumgardner; his daughter Karen; his son-in-law Mark Simon of Huntington; his son Todd Baumgardner of Melbourne, FL; his granddaughter Leah Capehart (Carter) of Huntington; and his pet Kasey.
