He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Otis Lee Byrd and Hope Byrd; his siblings, David Byrd, Kaye Byrd, Connie Byrd Mark Byrd and Steve Byrd; his wife Paula Byrd (Plybon); his children, Richard Byrd II of Michigan and Billie Short (Byrd) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Morgan Stephens-Nairnand (Paul), Molly Stephens (Billie), Maddox, Whitley, Rick and Sabine (Rick); his great grandchild Bodhi Lee; and his nephew Michael Reynolds.
