He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hardwick and Grace Ferguson Hardwick; and his siblings, Marvin Hardwick (Betty) and Nettie Adams. He is survived by: his sons, Stephen Hardwick, Tony Hardwick and Larry Hardwick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
