He was predeceased by: his niece Sarah-Brooke Mankins Nutini. He is survived by: his wife Robin Duncan Mankins; his daughters, Molly Elizabeth Mankins and Sally Marie McCue; his son-in-law Reegan McCue; his grandson Brooks Aidan McCue; his parents, Willam Mankins and Carolyn Shaw Mankins; his siblings, Amy Payton (Greg) and Philip E Mankins (Marguerite); his nieces, Elizabeth Payton and Mimi Mankins; and his great-nephews, Nicholas Nutini and Beckham Payton. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made in Larry's memory to the Cabell-Wayne Animal Shelter (HCWACS, 1901 James River Road, Huntington, WV 25701) or First Presbyterian Church (FPC, 1015-5th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701).
