We announce the death of Lightfoot H. Douglas (Beaconsfield, Québec), born in Vancouver, British Columbia, who passed away on June 6, 2026, at the age of 97. Lightfoot will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Lightfoot will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Lightfoot will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Lightfoot’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert and Doris; and his brother Ed. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his sons, Steven (Alison) of Kanata and Brian of Baie d'Urfe; his granddaughters, Victoria (Tori) and Grace; and his sister-in-law Nancy of Mississauga. He is also survived by niece and nephews, as well as an extended family.
