Passed away peacefully in Cowansville on April 29, 2026, at the age of 97. Born in Montreal, Paul André spent most of his life in Bedford. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Lena Crandall and the son of the late Georges Lortie and the late Regina Lafrenière.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Susan (Peter Chornyak), Barbara (Robert Wright), Paul Jr., and Daniel; his grandchildren: Zachariah, Joshua, Brennen, Connor, Joshua, Tyler, Natasha, William, and Alexander; and his great-grandchildren: Traverse, Noella, Riley, Declan, and Dylan. He is also survived by his sister Claudette, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister Georgette.

Paul André will be fondly remembered for his strong faith in the Bible's promises, especially his favorite passages: Revelation 21:3–4, Psalm 37:11, and Isaiah 33:24.
