He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Ryan; and his children, Beverley (Ehlen) and Bill (Cathy). He is survived by: his children, Steve (late Bonnie), Sandra (late Keith), Grant (late Betty), Ryan, Dexter, Gisele (Lucien) and Shawn (Caryl); and his granddaughter Valerie. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
