It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Françoise (Lair) Sallafranque (Chapeau, Québec), who passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Jérôme Sallafranque; her children, Mariette (Wayne), Jean-Paul (Lisa), Stephen and Denis (Sarah); her grandchildren, Joey (Nicole), Daniel (Jessica), Bradley, Aimee, Anna, Katie, Isabelle (Hal), Kiera, Nathan, Abigail and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Julia, Avery, Aubree and Patrick; her parents, François and Leonie (Abonneau); her siblings, Marie (Paul), Madeleine (Eric), Suzanne (Robert), Louis (Ghislaine), Juliette (Eldon), John and Richard (Joy); Pierre (Edith). She was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hayes Funeral Home (56 Rue Saint-Jacques, Chapeau, QC J0X1M0). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Alphonsus Church (7 Rue Notre Dame, Chapeau, QC J0X1M0).
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Harrington Community Center Generator Project would be greatly appreciated.
