He was predeceased by: his wife Iona (McGuire); his daughter Colleen (Rob Schilkie); his parents, George Morris and Emma Newell; and his siblings, Freda, Sylvia (Fred Lemire), Vivian (Frank Littlejohn), Sheila (Mickey Hammond), Clayton (Rose Sullivan), Elwood (Clotilda Joyce Morris) and Mickey.

He is survived by: his children, Susanne (late John Lapierre), Bonnie (Tony Kime), Shamus (Joanne Laviolette) and Erin (Terry Morris); and his sisters-in-law, Patsy McLennan Morris and Pinky Corby McGuire. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
