She was predeceased by: her siblings-in-law, Minoru (late Kimi), Bill (late Bessie), Yuki (late Omiye), Koichi (late Tiny Satoru) and Kimi Hayakawa (late Happy).
She is survived by: her children, Wendy (late Brian McDermott), Grant, Diane Loisel, Simon, Laurence and Charlie; and her siblings, Chiyo Sakai Brydon (late Jock Brydon) and John Shuichi (late Emi Gwen Hayakawa). She is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
A burial was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 2:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at the Rideau Memorial Gardens (4275 Bd des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9B2A6).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Japanese Canadian Community Centre of Montreal will be appreciated.
