He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan Element and Ralph Syvret; and his brother Paul. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lucas; his children, Michael (Chelsey), Connie (Donald) and Monica; his grandchildren, Cheyenne, Katrina and Torrick; his siblings, Lorne (Kim), Roderick, Lindsay, Sharon (Guy), Carla (Sylvain) and Noreen (Darryl); and his sister-in-law Susan. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in memory of Mr. Syvret, to the Gaspé Cancer Foundation.
