He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Simard and Adela Théorêt; and his daughter Lynn. He is survived by: his children, Diane (Dave), Don (Diane), Mary (Richard), Peter (Celine), Paul (Cathy), Brian (Sheena), Michael (Nathalie), Jean-François (Méline) and Daniel (Mélanie); and his sister Jeannine (late Raymond). He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
