He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Lachlan (Sharon), Wanda (Mike) and Jamie (Heidi); his grandchildren, Collin (Lindsay), Allan (Betelhem), Devon (Jon), Jenna, Hallie (Jeff), Kellan, Kerrie (Sean) and Kendall (Mani); his great grandchildren, Anderson, Spencer and Finnley; his parents, Burton "Burt" Rankin and Elizabeth; his siblings, Joan Hanly (Kenneth), Margaret Dryer (James), David (Jean) and Van (Mary); his siblings-in-law, Joan MacDonald, Errolyn Rennie and Murray Leclaire; and his wife Sandra. He was also cherished by wife of 68 years and the love of his life, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntingdon Protestant Cemetery, St. John's Anglican Church in Huntingdon, Quebec, or a charity of your choice.
