He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Dear and Rita Steele (Leblanc); and his stepfather Harold Steele. He is survived by: his wife Shirley (Sedgwick); his sons, Shawn (Renée) and Derek; his grandchildren, Logan, Kayla, Greyson and Isaac; and his siblings, Alex (Judy), Irene (Robert), Joyce (Billy), Mona (Jim), Faye (Kenny), Donna (John), Darlene (Kevin), April (Jimmy) and Laura. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Church (16 Rue York, Huntingdon, QC J0S1H0). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
