He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariano Burgio and Giuseppa Giglione. He is survived by: his wife Connie Lo Dico; his children, Natacha (Steven) and Christopher (Sophie); his grandchildren, Abbi and Maeve (late Charlotte); his brothers, Matteo (Pierina) and Carmen (Linda); his siblings' children, Mario and Gabriella; and his father-in-law Angelo Lo Dico (late Filippa Carrubba). He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

Viewing was held on Thursday, January 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Coopérative Funéraire du Grand Montréal (2000 Rue Cunard, Laval, QC H7S2E8). Visitation was held on Thursday, January 29th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Notre-Dame-De-L'Amour-Divin Church (765 Rue Roland-Forget, Laval, QC H7E4C1).
