With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dionissia Mataragas (Laval, Québec), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dionissia Mataragas to pay them a last tribute.

As Dionissia departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Dionissia. Though Dionissia may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She is survived by: her parents, Toula and Panagiotis; her sisters, Maria (George) and Nancy (Jules); her nephews, Alexandros, Kiki (Sofia) and Nicolas (Juliana); her significant other Sasha; and her pet Pickles. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles, cousins and many relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church (4865 Chem. du Souvenir, Laval, QC H7W1E1).

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
