With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jean-Claude Mayer (Maniwaki, Québec), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Jean-Claude farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jean-Claude is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Carle and Germain Jacko; and his sister Ruth. He is survived by: his stepmother Lise Brascoupe; his children, Steven and Jesse-James; and his sisters, Marlene (late Luc), Lorraine and Anita (Dan). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Kitigan Zibi Funeral Parlour.

As expressions of sympathy, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the La Maison des Collines – Wakefield Foundation in lieu of flowers.
